Seamless Data Source Integration Tool
Dynamic Risk has developed a highly integrated solution based on the following guiding principles:
1. Information from all relevant sources must be integrated in a highly efficient and accurate manner;
2. Source data sets need to be QC’d and validated prior to entering the risk assessment process as significant safety and financial decisions will be based on the results of the assessments; and,
3. System deployed needs to provide complete flexibility to the operator for maintaining and managing source data sets.
The core module within the integration architecture to achieve these objectives is a tool called DataExchange – an Extract Transform and Load (ETL) application that facilitates the integration of data from any source system, provides programmatic QC and validation checks based on an operator configurable set of business rules and then loads the final integrity tables for risk analysis and reporting. All data edits would occur in the source systems to ensure database integrity is maintained.
IRAS can also be utilized for the management of integrity/risk specific data not stored in a source system. The IRAS data model is open and the data captured through the IRAS tools could be potentially sent back to the source database for integration into the enterprise GIS environment.
